Before using G Suite, you must verify that you own your domain. A domain is what comes after the “www.” in web addresses. For example, this could be your organization's name, followed by “.com” or “.org”, such as yourbusiness.com or yourschool.org.

The reason you have to verify that you own your domain is to ensure that no one else is trying to use your domain and your Google service without your permission (to send emails, for example). After you verify your domain, you can start using G Suite services.

Important:

• If you bought your domain from a Google partner when you signed up for G Suite, your domain has already been verified.
• If you're verifying your domain for G Suite Essentials edition.
